Dead Lotus Couture’s Nange Magro said she was ‘deeply disappointed’ at similarity between her latex designs and those worn by Monáe A London-based fashion designer has said her costume designs have been plagiarised for Janelle Monáe’s Grammy awards performance on Sunday. Nange Magro, a Japanese-Italian designer who works primarily with latex, posted images on Instagram comparing designs she made in 2015 for her label Dead Lotus Couture with those worn by Monáe on stage at the Grammys.
